Every company needs at least a logo. Period!
A logo can be anything from only text, written in a specific font, a minimalist graphic, or even a fancy vintage design with a calligraphic company name, whatever fits your company and products.

But be aware of potential cultural differences, if you plan on operating or selling in foreign countries, as what is a decent name and logo in your country may very well be something offensive in another country or culture. The same goes for slogans and colours.
